Windrose Maps was founded out of a love for our planet. We love to observe how natural features and human influence shapes the Earth to create beautiful patterns and complex designs.

We put care and thought into our map designs, combining built and natural elements to create images that help connect you with the special places in your life.
Our name
The compass rose, also called a windrose, displays the orientation of the cardinal directions. The Windrose Maps name is a nod to the compass, a common map element and symbol of the way our founder began a love for maps - by learning orienteering skills while backpacking with his Dad.
